Jakarta Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) expects residents who live near the river to be prepared, because Depok Sluice Gate is in Alert 1 status since 11 AM.

Jakarta BPBD Head, Subejo explained, water level at Depok Sluice Gate reaches 375 centimeters.

"We have informed urban village heads and residents via disaster warning system, SMS Blast, social media such as twitter, facebook, and website," he stated, Wednesday (1/1).

According to him, information is given to urban village and sub-district heads through Whatsapp group of Jakarta BPBD Disaster Data and Information Center.

"We release the information immediately thus they can do things to anticipate it," he asserted.

At 11 AM, he explained the condition at Katulampa Sluice Gate is in Alert 3 status with water level reaches 150 centimeters, Manggarai Sluice Gate is in Alert 2, Karet Sluice Gate is in Alert 1, Krukut Hulu Sluice Gate is in Alert 3, Pesanggrahan Sluice Gate is in Alert 2, Angke Hulu Sluice Gate in Alert 1, and Pluit Reservoir Sluice Gate is in Alert 3.

"Water level at Fish Market Sluice Gate is in Alert 3, Cipinang Hulu is in Alert 4, Sunter Hulu is in Alert 3, and Pulo Gadung Sluice Gate is in Alert 3," he conveyed.
